Flame spray pyrolysis reactor
Flame spray pyrolysis represents the most versatile tool in flame nanomanufacture offering the possibility to produce single- and multi-component nanoparticles and nanoparticle films on substrates at high production rates (g/h) with remarkable reproducibility. Our setup is equipped with two nozzles for double-nozzle synthesis, as well as with an enclosed coating reactor for core/shell nanoparticles.
Rigaku MiniFlex is a compact desktop powder X-ray diffractometer for qualitative and quantitative analysis of crystal size as well as phase composition.
Micromeritics Tristar II Plus 3030 and FlowPrep. The Tristar II Plus is an automated, three-station, surface area and porosity analyzer that delivers excellent performance and speed of analysis.
Perkin Elmer LS55 fluorescence spectrophotometer equipped with plate reader accessory for fluorescence, phosphorescence and bio- and chemi-luminescence measurement modes.
Ultraviolet and visible (UV/vis) spectrophotometer
Analytik Jena Specord 210 Plus with range 190-1100 nm, variable bandwidth, scanning, dual beam, for general applications, single cell holder.
Scanning electron microscope (SEM)
Thermo ScientificTM Phenom Pharos is a desktop SEM with a FEG source that makes crisp, high-brightness images with resolution <4 nm and magnification up to 1,000,000X.
Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
The Agilent Cary 630 FTIR spectrometer is a compact and versatile instrument providing superior quantitative and qualitative information for routine analysis of solids, liquids, and gases. It is equipped with the transmission, attenuated total reflection (ATR), and diffuse reflectance modules.
Electrochemical ion selective electrode setup
The Mettled-Toledo SevenCompact™ pH-meter and ion meter series offers versatility, ease-of-use and durability. Our setup is equipped with Ag and Ca ion selective electrodes.
Carbolite chamber furnace and sintering oven CWF 5L with chamber volume 5 L and temperature up to 1300 °C.
Two near infrared diode lasers (emission wavelength 785 and 808 nm) coupled with optical fiber and with tunable power output equipped with collimator (diameter 5 mm) and diffuser (square shape).
The Testo 871 thermal imager combines high infrared resolution with professional measuring performance and easy handling with IR resolution of 240 x 180 pixels, via integrated testo SuperResolution Technology 480 x 360 pixel, and a broad temperature range from -30°C to +650 °C.
The Laurell Technologies WS-650Mz spin coater will accommodate up to ø150 mm wafers and 5″ × 5″ (127mm × 127mm) substrates, and features a maximum rotational speed of 12,000 RPM.
Wanhao Duplicator 4S is an FDM printer with a build volume of 22.5 x 14.5 x 15 cm. It has a dual extruder that can print two build materials such as ABS, PLA and other filaments or it can use dissolvable support material such as PLA to print. The Wanhao can reach 100-500 microns layer height.
Bacterial and cell culture labs
We have state-of-the-art lab space for culturing in-vitro bacteria as well as mammalian cells, equipped with all relevant instruments (autoclave, incubators, centrifuges).
